Maisonneuve fracture
This fracture consists of:
- spiral fracture of the upper fibula
- fracture of the tibia at the ankle
The Maisonneuve fracture does badly with conservative treatment, requiring instead internal fixation.
The Maisonneuve fracture is similar to the Galeazzi and Monteggia fractures.
