Indications
The indications for operative intervention in radial dysplasia include:
- loss of function from angulation at the wrist; severe angulation at the wrist is no longer a relative contraindication as it can be progressively corrected with a distraction device prior to a formal radialization or centralization procedure
- poor extensor excursion
- cosmetic deformity
