risk factors for knee pain
Predisposing factors for knee pain include:
- female gender
- abnormal knee anatomy
- joint laxity
- muscle imbalance
- prior injury
- obesity
- occupation - specially in workers whose lower limbs are more heavily loaded e.g. - shipyard workers, firemen, farm labourers and construction workers
- exercise related - vigorous physical training specially running (1)
