Associated disorders
Acute plantar fasciitis may be associated with:
- gout
- Reiter's syndrome
Dupuytren's contracture causes similar swelling of the plantar fascia but this condition is usually painless.
Chronic plantar fasciitis may result in a calcaneal spur.
