Skeletal features
The skeletal manifestations of type I neurofibromatosis include:
- increased incidence of congenital bone abnormalities:
- kyphoscoliosis due to dysgenesis of vertebral bodies
- pulsating exophthalmos due to a defect in the posterior wall of the orbit
- tibial bowing
- short stature
