Side effects
The side effects of intralesional steroids are infrequent to rare, but can include:
- early:
- bleeding
- sepsis
- blindness - several case reports secondary to the injection of lesions around the nose; presumed intravascular injection
- late:
- temporary or permanent skin atrophy:
- epidermal
- subcutaneous
- perilymphatic
- depigmentation
- telangiectasia
- superficial ulceration
