Repeated caesarian section

Authoring team

The scar from a caesarian section may rupture during a subsequent normal labour.

This risk is significant if the previous section was an upper segment caesarian section or if there have been multiple sections.

The risk of rupture from the scar of a single LCSC is less than the risks of an elective section.
