Generalised swelling of the eyelids
Possible causes of generalises swelling of the eyelids include:
- orbital tumours
- orbital cellulitis
- carotico-cavernous fistula
- exophthalmos - this is a particular cause of proptosis and may occur in dysthyroid disease
