Retinitis pigmentosa

Retinitis pigmentosa is the triad of:

  • night blindness
  • peripheral visual loss
  • pigmentary retinopathy

The aetiology is heterogeneous, however the photoreceptor cells and retinal pigment epithelial cells are always affected.
