Neck stiffness
Neck stiffness often makes the investigator think of meningitis. However, it may also be caused by:
- subarachnoid haemorrhage
- tetanus
- upper lobe pneumonia
- tender posterior cervical adenopathy
- retropharyngeal abscess
- rheumatoid arthritis
