Differential diagnosis
Bilateral lymphoedema:
- cardiac, renal, metabolic (hyperproteinaemia) causes
- lipoedema
Unilateral lymphoedema:
- lymphoma
- malignancy involving iliac and lumbar lymph nodes
- venous occlusion - eg. deep vein thrombosis, stricture, compression
Groin mass:
- inguinal hernia
