Section 37 (Mental Health Act)
Section 37 of the Mental Health Act has a similar result to the application of section 3, but this part of the Act refers to offenders seen before the courts.
Appeal against this section can only occur in the second 6 months of treatment.
The discharge of people committed to hospital under this section can be restricted under Section 41 of the Act.
