Evaluation provides feedback essential to the proper functioning of problem solving.
If it has been successful, then the therapist and patient should move on to tackle next problem.
If there has been no success, then the question why must be asked. It may be due to:
- poor problem definition
- inappropriate goals
- new obstacles
