Laboratory features
The dominant feature is deficiency of serum immunoglobulin:
- IgG - less than 200 mg / dl
- IgA and IgM - both less than 1% of normal
Other features include:
- reduced or absent isohaemagglutins
- positive Schick test
- failure to produce antibodies to DTP vaccine
- normal peripheral lymphocyte count
- normal delayed hypersensitivity skin tests
