  • steroids
  • cyclophosphamide
  • plasma exchange to remove antigen and/or antibody (especially in Wegener's granulomatosis (ANCA positive) and Goodpasture's syndrome)

The prognosis is poor if initial serum creatinine > 600 µmol/L.
