Infantile polycystic kidney disease
Infantile polycystic kidney disease is a rare, autosomal recessive condition with a prevalence of approximately 1:40,000.
This condition is characterised by the presence of numerous renal cysts throughout the cortex and medulla. Infantile polycystic kidney disease is a bilateral condition.
The gene responsible for this condition is on chromosome 6.
