Short stenoses on angiography
Your patient has lifestyle-limiting claudication with short stenoses on angiography.
Risk factors should be modified, however further treatment depends on the site of the lesions:
- the initial treatment for lesions below the inguinal ligament is balloon angioplasty
- if the subsequent flow is inadequate an endovascular stent should be placed
- aortoiliac lesions are treated by placement of an endovascular stent
