Inhaled corticosteroids and candidiasis
- oropharyngeal candidiasis causes symptoms in approximately 5% of patients
- rate of occurrence increases with the frequency and dose of administration
- incidence is reduced by mouth rinsing after inhalation and by use of a spacer device
