Salbutamol
Salbutamol is a selective beta2-adrenoceptor stimulator.
Indications:
- asthma and other reversible airways
- obstruction
- premature labour - it is a tocolytic
Salbutamol is administered in a variety of manners, including:
- oral tablets or syrup
- inhalation in aerosol, powder or nebulised form
- injection, intravenous, subcutaneous or intramuscular
