Hypercomplimentaemic arteritis
There is recurrent skin vasculitis that is generally manifested as urticaria. This condition is associated with hypercomplimentaemia which is not a feature of other subgroups. This condition more often affects females. The systemic manifestations are not generally severe and may include arthralgia and sometimes a mild proliferative glomerulonephritis.
In contrast to other forms of recurrent urticaria, the ESR is raised.
