Antibiotics (anaesthesia management)
Complications are very rare, but care must be taken with certain antibiotics before general anaesthesia:
- penicillins and hypersensitivity reactions
- cephalosporins:
- interference with clotting factors
- hypersensitivity
- tetracyclines, aminoglycosides:
- prolongation of neuromuscular blockade
