The arteria aberrans or aberrant artery is a small vessel that is thought to be the remnant of the right dorsal aorta of the fetus. It passes superiorly from the right side of the descending aorta at around the level of the right bronchial artery. It runs posterior to the oesophagus and trachea.

It may anastomose with the right superior intercostal artery or form the origin of the right subclavian artery.
