Bruits in the abdomen
The most frequent cause of an abdominal bruit is occlusive arterial disease in the aorto-iliac vessels.
Auscultation for renal bruits is indicated if renal artery stenosis is suspected.
Uncommonly, a bruit can be heard over the liver.
