Costotransverse ligament
The costotransverse ligament is one of a group of ligaments running between the neck of a rib and its corresponding vertebrae on each side:
- attaches to the posterior surface of the neck of a rib
- projects back to join the apposed surface of the corresponding thoracic vertebra's transverse process on each side
- helps to support the costotransverse joint
