Oilseed rape allergenicity
There has been reported a small increase in headache, cough and wheeze in some individuals living in areas where oilseed rape is grown.
The cause of their symptoms is unclear. 'Sensitisation to oilseed rape pollen alone appears rare, and the public health impact seems to be minimal in comparison with that of other pollen allergen sources'.
No causal association can yet be established to oilseed rape and non-specific symptoms of malaise.
