Teeth malocclusion

Authoring team

In normal dental development it is normal for the anterior lower teeth to lie touching and be slightly posterior to the upper teeth when the jaw is closed. It is normal for the posterior upper teeth to close on to the lower teeth. This pattern of development is lost in malocclusion. Mild malocclusions are common.
