Homonymous superior quadrantanopia describes a visual field deficit of the upper, outer half of one side in both eyes. It is usually due to the interruption of Meyer's Loop of the optic radiation. Hence, it may be an early sign of temporal lobe disease, or it may be a residual effect of a temporal lobectomy.
