- hypertension and nephrotoxicity are commonly caused by cyclosporin treatment
- the degree of hypertension, usually, is proportional to the dose of cyclosporin - generally the hypertension resolves on withdrawal of cyclosporin therapy, but this measure is almost never required (1)
