Spindle-cell naevi

Spindle-cell naevi are benign, and present as a smooth- surfaced, firm, dome-shaped nodules, usually red-brown, but they may be black or have a wart-like appearance.

Histology:

  • cells within lesion are generally spindle-shaped
  • also multi-nucleated giant cells
  • mitoses are present

Treatment:

  • excision of lesion
