This is the presence of amino acids in the urine.

Normal individuals lose small quantities of glycine, glutamine, alanine, serine and histidine in the urine.

Aminoaciduria may occur because of:

  • overflow of excess amino acids into the urine
  • renal causes of aminoaciduria
