  • character
  • rate
  • rhythm
  • left-right asymmetry between radial pulses
  • radiofemoral delay

Other signs include:

  • clubbing
  • peripheral cyanosis
  • the signs of infective endocarditis (splinter haemorrhages, Osler's nodes, Janeway lesions)
  • xanthomata
  • Quinke's sign - aortic regurgitation
