  • pharynx:
    • vomiting of swallowed blood from a nasal bleed

  • oesophagus:
    • oesophagitis due to a hiatus hernia
    • oesophageal varices

  • stomach:
    • gastritis - alcoholic, drug-induced, biliary, irritant
    • gastric ulcer
