FFP contains high levels of all coagulation proteins plus:

  • sodium - 170 mmol/l
  • potassium - 4 mmol/l
  • glucose - 22 mmol/l
  • citrate - 20 mmol/l
  • lactate - 3 mmol/l
  • pH - 7.2-7.4

The specified minimum level of factor VIII is 0.7 i.u./ml.
