Most hepatic haemangiomata are asymptomatic, however the following complications may occur:

  • abdominal pain and fullness
  • fever, thrombocytopaenia and hypofibrinogenaemia due to coagulation within the tumour, and rarely,
  • malignant transformation
  • spontaneous rupture
