Seminomas are testicular tumours which are derived from cells of the seminiferous tubules. They are equivalent to the dysgerminoma of the ovary and are radiosensitive.

They are solid and relatively slowly growing. Pure seminoma is most frequent in the 30-40 year age group. Histological examination reveals that the tumour cells are uniform and tightly packed.
