The Leser-Trelat Sign describes the rapid and widespread eruption of multiple seborrhoeic keratoses. It may be associated with acanthosis nigricans. Both skin lesions suggest the presence of visceral malignancy but the relationship is not proven (1).

The most frequent stated associations are with:

  • adenocarcinoma:
    • stomach
    • colon
    • breast

  • other possible associations include:
    • lymphoma
    • leukaemia
    • melanoma
