  • liver insufficiency including cholestasis

The SPC for raloxifene advises that cholestyramine should not be given with raloxifene - cholestyramine reduces the absorption and enterohepatic circulation of raloxifene.

Raloxifene may cause a modest increase in prothrombin time in patients receiving warfarin or other coumarins - this should be checked for.

The summary of product characteristics must be checked before prescribing this drug.
