Progesterone suppositories

Natural progesterone has to be given rectally or vaginally.

In premenstrual syndrome dose is 200mg daily to 400mg twice daily starting at day 12-14 and continued until menstruation commences. If vaginal infection or if barrier methods of contraception then progesterone may be given rectally.
