This describes the association of rheumatoid arthritis with:

  • splenomegaly
  • neutropenia, anaemia and thrombocytopenia
  • lymphadenopathy

It occurs in less than 1% of all cases of rheumatoid arthritis. The major complication is recurrent infection.
