Uses: nausea and vomiting (adults) in GI disorders, migraine and as adjunct to cytotoxics or radiotherapy

Dose: 10mg by mouth three times daily 10mg i.m. or i.v. over 1-2 minutes

Tablets: 10mg x 21 and 84; 5mg tabs x 84 Syrup: 5mg/5ml x 200ml Injection: 10mg/2ml x 12amp

Under 20 years: high risk of side effects and so in this age-group use only for:

  • severe, intractable vomiting of known cause
  • as adjunct to radiotherapy and cytotoxics
