Palmomental reflex

The palmomental reflex is a primitive reflex arising from unilateral damage to the frontal lobe in the pre-frontal area.

It is elicited by quickly scratching the palm of the hand. A positive reflex is indicated by sudden contraction of the mentalis muscle in the face.
