  • hiatus hernia
  • oesophageal varices
  • gastritis and peptic ulceration
  • pyloric stenosis
  • bleeding diatheses, including thrombocytopaenia, haemophilia

Always in children an index of suspicion must be maintained for Munchausen by proxy.
