Piebaldism is a form of partial albinism.

  • stable, depigmented patches with pigmented macules scattered within occuring on the ventral surface of the body are characteristic.
  • autosomal dominant inheritance.
  • a white forelock occurs in 85% of cases.
  • ears and eyes are normal.

Treatment: photoprotection. Transplantation of melanocytes has been attempted.
