The possible causes of multiple pulmonary nodules include:

  • lung cancer/metastatic cancer
  • sarcoidosis
  • silicosis
  • tuberculosis
  • fungal lung infections
  • chichenpox pneumonia
  • abscesses
  • histiocytosis X
  • arteriovenous malformations
  • mitral stenosis
