Terminal dribbling occurs when the patient continues to leak urine after micturition has ceased. In extreme cases, the volume passed may amount to incontinence. It denotes abnormal sphincter function. The most common cause is bladder outflow obstruction where it is accompanied by other urinary symptoms. As an isolated finding in women, it may denote pelvic floor weakness.
