The Angelchick prosthesis is a large silastic 'C'-shaped ring that can secured around the oesophago-gastric junction. Once a hiatus hernia has been reduced, siting the ring prevents reherniation.

It is a device rarely seen today due to widespread reports of complications such as migration, displacement, erosion, and dysphasia (1)
