Extracolonic tumours occur more often in patients with familial adenomatous polyposis than the general population. Tumours that have an increased incidence include:

  • papillary thyroid cancer
  • carcinoid tumours of the ileum
  • carcinomas of the upper gastrointestinal tract
  • medulloblastomas
  • glioblastomas
