Tuberous xanthoma

Tuberous xanthomas are associated with hyperlipoproteinaemia types IIA and III, and less commonly, types IIB and IV, biliary cirrhosis and myxoedema.

They occur as groups of flat, or elevated and rounded, yellow or orange nodules on the skin over joints, especially at the elbow and the knee.
