Trichoepithelioma

A trichoepithelioma is a rare epithelial tumour that attempts to differentiate into hair follicle cells. Three clinicopathological types are recognised:

  • solitary trichoepithelioma
  • multiple trichoepithelioma
  • desmoplastic trichoepithelioma

Presentation is commonly with pink nodules around the face. Treatment is by excision.
