  • normal intelligence
  • normal sensation
  • joint stiffness
  • shapeless, cylindrical limbs due to muscle atrophy
  • absent flexion skin creases
  • skin atrophic and 'waxy'
  • upper limbs:
    • shoulders internally rotated and adducted
    • elbow extension
    • forearm pronation
    • wrist flexion
    • finger flexion
    • thumbs clasped in palm
  • lower limbs:
    • hip dislocation
    • subluxation of knees
    • club feet
  • stiffness of several, often disparate joints
